CLUB RIDE APPAREL

Unique apparel supports the biking lifestyle.

In my travels I see a lot of unique companies with concepts to build innovation or introduce a new product to the cycling world.  CLUB RIDE is the most unique biking lifestyle apparel company I have ever found.  There are typically dozens of companies at every INTERBIKE show.  CLUB RIDE is very different.  They are not the run of the mill apparel company.

In 2012 at INTERBIKE they take the TRIEDGE.net award for the BEST new company.  CLUB RIDE is new to me but they have been around for a few years.  Started in 2008 in Sun Valley IDAHO the company has roots in the Mountain Biking lifestyle.  They create clothes that are comfortable to wear during rides and still look good after with friends.  CLUB RIDE has done a great job creating garments that look good and are functional.  If you are a commuter the mens and womens selection will be the best addition to your closet since tech fabrics.

The JERSEY that I tested is the GO WEST-

The first thing that I noticed is how comfortable the material is.  This is a classic cowboy button shirt and the loose fit is appealing.  The shirt has a full zipper underneath the buttons.  This makes the shirt hold nicely with wind and lots of movement.  The vents on the side make it a great shirt for ventalation with no worry as things heat up.  There are full zip pockets on the back hips for stowage and your music.  This is what you wear when you are cruising to the mountains and you have activities before or after where it would look weird to still be wearing your bibs and kit.

FEATURES-

• Lightweight RideDryWear™
wicking fabric
• Air2Flow™ hidden front zip system
• Stretch fabric for movement
• Quick-dry for moisture control
• Full side and underarm venting

The offering is not just tops.  My first introduction to the shorts was seeing the BMC support staff in the very cool shorts at outdoor demo.  This is how I found out about this cool company.
I look forward to building out a quiver of these shirts for my bike lifestyle.

PROS- the quality of the build in the jersey is amazing.  Each seam is fully stitched for durability. Snap buttons are a plus.  Hidden zip under the snaps is very smart.
I think the smooth buttons and the styling in each jersey short or long sleeve is very smooth.

CON-  The sizes seem to run a little large on the mens side.  I was in a medium and it felt like a large.  Obviously you would not wear this in your next IRONMAN race but it would be fun to wear post race.
