KLYMIT KSB 20 is an impressive option for cool spring camping

The company that makes the best sleeping pads now has a nice sleeping bag. Introducing the KLYMIT KSB 20.

This slick black Klymit KSB 20 Down Sleeping Bag, is no standard bag. Packed up the Klymit KSB 20 Down sleeping bag can fit snug into your favorite backpack. Coming in at a light weight of 2.7lbs. With EN Ratings of comfort of 23 degrees F and a limit of 10 degrees F, this sleeping bag provides sufficient heat for cool weather camping.

I took the KSB 20 Down Bag on an overnighter for a camp out in the middle of February. During the night, I eventually ended up shedding some layers. All due to the warmth from the Klymit Sleeping Bag. When I talked with other campers the next morning, they shared that they had struggled with the cold that night. I was surprised with their conditions. I had enjoyed the heat of my bag thoroughly and was very comfortable. That stood out first to me about this amazing bag.

Now, due to the length of the bag and width, it seemed that it doesn’t fit larger individuals. Taller than 6 ft. with large shoe sizes will be tight.  No need to worry KLYMIT now offers an oversized option.  With wider shoulders and a longer wing span, I found it snug with large shoulder girth length of 60 and an ‘Anti-snag zipper’. This helped me a lot in getting into the bag. This made me think about my time spent in other sleeping bags. They include the adjustable hoods to cover my head. What I noticed about the Klymit bag is the cushioning within the hood was excellent. The cushioning and padding provided within the bag provides warmth all around the head.

On my second experience with the bag at another overnight camp, I forgot my beanie… When I zipped myself up that night I feared I wouldn’t keep my head warm. But was pleasantly surprised, again, with how warm my head was. The Klymit KSB 20 Down Sleeping Bag is good for both backpacking and car camping. Being extremely sensitive about my sleep, I would summarize this bag as a tight, comfy, amazing sleeping bag.  This sleeping bag allows for enough freedom of movement in the bag. Before trying out this bag, I spent a 50-mile backpacking trip on one of Klymit’s pads. Their pads have already gained my respect and the Klymit KSB 20 down sleeping bag is the same high quality and comfort.
