Soas- UltraMarine Run Tights

I’m a female with a full-blown addiction to running tights, and I know I’m not the only one, so nothing motivates me to workout harder than a new pair.

From the first run, I noticed the high-quality feel of the UltraMarine Run Tights. Flat seams prevented chaffing and hot spots, whether I was on the trail or in spin class. The snug fit has a supportive quality without feeling tight and intrusive—a problem I’ve had with more than one brand, and Soas really nailed the delicate balance between the two. The front panels in the interior are soft to the touch, and I liked the double rear panels that added that little bit of reinforcement. The yoga-style waist was a fantastic idea, and one of my favorite features of the running tights.Soas waist This feature is not only supremely comfortable, but it prevents the dreaded muffin-top and makes the UltraMarine style available to more body types—a consideration that is greatly lacking overall in the outdoor industry.

The tights feel more substantial than other brands, and while I’ve only had them for a month or so, I did check other user reviews online, and it seems other long-term Soas fans have been pleased with how well their products hold elasticity over time. (I’ll make sure to add any updates as I continue to wash and wear the UltraMarine tights.)

As far as sizing goes, I understand from other customers that in the past, Soas had a tendency to run small, but it seems like the problem has been corrected, because I found the sizing to be right on. However, if you typically fall between sizes, I would definitely size up, just to be safe.

Final Say

First of all, I have to sing the praises of the styling. The UltraMarine is only one piece in a long wish-list that is growing with every new addition to the line-up at Soas. It’s no wonder that their fan-base is rapidly increasing. I love, love the design and will be buying more in the future.

As a full-blown running tights addict, I admit that the price is slightly higher than I would normally pay for a pair to add to my (massive) collection, but after you pull on the tights for the first time, you’ll understand why. These are not anything you’ll find on the bargain rack, and are worth every penny. After testing them on numerous runs, strength training and in spin classes, I think they’re very reasonably priced. Once you add in the great design, quality fabric and intelligent design, it’s no surprise that the UltraMarine Run Tights are one of my favorite finds for summer training.
